I have a feeling that this would’ve made for an artsy sort of photo, but Lucy and W had me in tow so I didn’t want to lag for too long…and despite that, I don’t think I would’ve known how best to shoot this. I have a feeling that it would entail getting closer to the ground. Hmmm.

The snowy path that borders my sister’s pond in Kentucky. Just about this time last year, I was stranded here for a few days while Amtrak cleared tracks between here and the Washington, DC, area.

More benches on the perimeter of Ford’s Landing in Old Town Alexandria. On the right is the new and improved Woodrow Wilson bridge that spans the Potomac River from Virginia to Maryland. And something tells me you’ve seen this stuff before.

So, when was the last time you sat on a bench and took in your surroundings?
A little different from my bench photos here and here, this one has a human element with an added display of young love—I’m assuming. These two are sitting on a bench along the perimeter of Ford’s Landing in Old Town Alexandria. It was a beautiful Saturday, and the young guy appears to be pointing out to his friend areas of interest on the Maryland side of the Potomac River.
A view of some Old Town homes from Ford’s Landing can be seen here.
