On Lucy walks, she and W usually walk ahead as I dawdle behind, but every few moments or so, she stops and turns to see where I am. If she sees me, she continues on, but, if not, she waits until she catches a glimpse of me, and she then proceeds. She does the same if she and I are walking ahead of W. She won’t budge until she sees him. The other day, though ~on the beautiful birthday walk~ we let her off-leash so she could go at her own pace and explore a little. As she took off ahead of us, we wondered…while all alone, will she wait for the two of us? Testing…one, two, three! Well, we watched and waited and lo and behold, she stopped, turned and looked at us. I suspected that she would do so, so was ready to capture the moment. And when she saw us, she turned and continued on her merry way. Good girl! February 14th, 2011
