One of my favorite things to do with the camera is to lie down on the patio with Lucy. As soon as I’m eye level, she’s more than happy to stop whatever she’s doing and come to me…tail wagging, smiling, all too ready to nose-bump the lens. And after she tires of me and the contraption invading her space, she turns her attention to that of gnawing branches, staring down squirrels and listening for alerting barks from her neighborhood buddies. What a dog. What a life.
