This blog isn’t all about Lucy, but until I get my arse in gear, put my schnoz to the grindstone and write about something other than Lucy that is post-worthy, that girl’s gonna be front and center. Besides, she’s unquestionably the most photogenic and entertaining being in this household and that makes it all the easier to write about her. She’s a story a minute!
So…on the morning jaunt the other day in a nearby park she struck this regal pose. She would say it’s her “in-the-zone-while-eyeballing-a-squirrel” ten-hut, but I am certain her noble look stems from her lineage. Albeit slight, her DNA test includes a smattering of Russian Wolfhound or Borzoi. Borzois are a large breed that originated in Russia and were used by the Russian aristocracy to hunt wolf, fox and rabbit.
Despite our little blueblood’s difference in appearance from this particular royal ancestor, she does have similar physical characteristics and temperament. And all I can say is thank goodness she got her manageable size from another ancestor, the Border Collie.
Thanks for the blog fodder, Miss Loo!
