It’s a little scrawny and too close to the house, but it’s my favorite Japanese maple in the yard. I’m a blue ‘n’ green kinda gal, but I love this orangey color.

Around here we’ve been waiting for cooler temps and crisper air, and it’s finally here…weather’s sweet spot. Before long we’ll be bracing for the other extreme. This photo was taken a few years ago, in January. Brrr.
