Lucy is all eyes and ears as winds louden, and things continue to fall on the roof…and the most tumultuous is yet to come. Poor girl. By the way, my dad would’ve been 77 today. Happy Birthday, Daddy, and if you’re wondering, yes, we cleared the gutters in hopes that the basement won’t flood again.

Another Lucy-hogging-the-fountain photo? Yes. But next time, I’m going to get a video. A creature of habit, she always heads for the fountain when we’re in this park. Hops right up for a swig and then goes on her way. Pretty comical. By the way, last night I attended a pre-40th reunion get-together, and some folks mentioned how much they enjoyed Lucy’s blog photos. I passed the comments along and she was thrilled…now wants to meet everyone. Holy cow. We both thank all of you for the very kind words!

Lucy would have a kitten if she saw these guys on her blog. This is Baxter (top) and Slater, and they are family of a friend who had us over this weekend for brunch…barbecue, heirloom tomato salad and chocolate-Kahlua cupcakes. Oh, and Bellinis. Everything was delish…thanks, M! And thanks to Baxter and Slater for being so patient!
