Thanks, charlane. I actually took these on one of Lucy’s walks. They don’t grow well in my yard, either…not enough sun. So, I’m enjoying someone else’s, too!
Thanks, Grace…straight to you from an unknown neighbor’s yard in a distant neighborhood. The flowers are always prettier…or the grass is always greener…however that saying goes.
Hmmm…think I might’ve put a picture of that there kinda flower on my blog a little while ago…though I of course had no idea what they were called…so yer one up on me, Holly… YogaforCynics´s last blog post ..Bored
So, you know I had to go look, drjay. Your peony was a little different than mine (much more interesting!), so I tried to identify it. I think yours might possibly be a Bridal Veil and mine a Bridesmaid. (Ah, always the bridesmaid, never the bride.) A waste of time you ask? Maybe…but, while looking all this up, I actually came across another flower that I’ve been trying to identify, so thanks! :o)
Gorgeous! Wow, our peonies bloomed ages ago. I never know what to do with those bushes after the blossoms go. Guess I should do some research on theat sooner or later! Lydia´s last blog post ..Mag 33 – Perfume from the Isle of Pligh
Actually, this was taken back in May, in someone else’s yard…not enough sun in mine. :o( There’s a man who lives down the street from us who has a lot of peony bushes in his yard, and after the blooms die back, he ties up the bushes and cuts the tops off. He seems harmless, otherwise, though. ;o)
oh, the peony photos are so wonderful. I was floored to have peonies in my yard when we moved to Madison, WI and sad to leave them when we moved to Austin, TX. They are just pure joy to look at. Roberta´s last blog post ..Lunchtime Cowboy
Thanks, Roberta, and I really like them, too…especially the scented ones. I tried transplanting some bushes from one place to another, but that never works out for me. I’m sure the peonies aren’t too happy about that, either. :o(
I love flowers, and these are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. You did justice to them by taking such beautiful photos. Thanks for posting! Costumes for Couples
I love peonies and those are so pretty. Is Lucy by chance hiding in there somewhere?

Hee…this did happen to be on one of Lucy’s walks, but she was way ahead of me. She gets very annoyed waiting for me to snap pics. Sorry girl.

Uh-oh…did I go overboard on the photo enhancement? I tried not to…after the awful job I did on my “Pink Rose” post. :o/
