Okay, this might get confusing, so stay with me…
Here is Lucy—with her friend, Lucy, the lab mix—as she gets pets from Lucy’s mom, wife to our Lucy’s favorite dog park human, whom she hadn’t seen in a very long time. Still with me? I’m not sure what captured all three’s attention, and it’s hard to tell as the park was full of doggies engaged in all sorts of shenanigans.

I love dog walking chat and how dog walkers always chat and are friendly :-D
Actually, Lucy is a little more social than we are, especially with the humans…but, yeah, most dog folks are pretty friendly.

OK, so it must be true that people who take their dogs to parks don’t know the names of the dogs’ owners. Only by their pet’s name, as in “Lucy’s mom.” Are you Holly to them? Or are you Lucy’s mom, too?
I can only hope that I’m “Lucy’s mom” (I don’t think they know my real name) and not something like “aloof woman in the baggy clothes” or even worse, “chubby, aloof woman in the baggy clothes.” I know I’ve got some self-esteem around here someplace…now where did I put it? Heh heh.
thanks for sharing
