  I should say it gets easier but you know, it doesn’t. With every passing milestone in your life, you say to yourself “I wish Daddy was here to see this” The good, the bad, you want Daddy to see, hear, help – just be there. My father has been gone 37 years and I miss more each year…

    Thanks, Grace. It hasn’t been a year yet, and his loss still feels fresh, and I can’t imagine feeling any differently down the road.

    Wow, 37 years. You were so young when you lost him…I was lucky to have had my dad here for as long as I did.

  Not an easy day for you I’m sure. My dad has been gone for over 13 years and I still have times when i get a little teary about it. So many times I wished he was still here to talk to. There is a song, “Daddy can you see me” by Anita Cochran that brings tears to my eyes because it always makes me think of my dad and how special he was.

  Ironically, I was just talking about the loss of my father with my husband today. Hard to believe it’s been 32 years now…

    So sorry, Lana. It seems that no matter how long ago we’ve lost someone…in some ways, it seems just like yesterday. :o(
