Hi Jennifer. I love this creek. I always join Lucy and wade around. The water stays clear, even when wading. And you’re right…she doesn’t have nearly as much fun in the bathtub…she tries to escape!
Thanks, drjay. Actually, she’s singing to me…or at me. This is one of the last happy pics of Lucy in this creek. People (a few kids, but mostly adults) have taken to throwing rocks into the water. Just for yucks. And the sound of that has scared Lucy so much, she won’t stay in the park. Each time we get her to the creek, someone throws a rock. And off poor Lucy goes, back toward the truck. :o(
Thanks, Ryan, and thanks for commenting. Actually, some dogs have webbed toes to aid in swimming. I’m not sure if it’s only the water breeds or not, but Lucy is a border collie mix and she has webbed toes.
Lucy looks like she’s gargling….LOL She did a little bit of chilling out like Duke does, good for her

Ha! Gargling…that’s funny, ann. Yeah, this is Lucy’s favorite watering hole.
So cool and refreshing — though I imagine Lucy has a different response to taking a bath . . .

I sometimes wonder why dogs are not born with flippers, they love the water so much, great pic.
