Lucy, posing at one of her favorite swimming holes. This is Long Branch Stream, which runs through the middle of 17-acre Long Branch Park in Arlington, Virginia. The park provides easy access to the W&OD trail and even has a nature center. Best of all, there’s a designated area just for the doggies to run leash-free. Yay!

Lucy looks so happy and youthful in that picture. I love streams that run through the woods, such peaceful and refreshing places to spend a summer afternoon.
nothingprofound´s last blog post ..
Hi nothingprofound. Yeah, she’s a bundle of energy, although this hot weather gets her down a little. I love this stream…its water is so clear. I know there’re probably all kinds of icky things in there, but it looks so clean!

She looks like she’s saying “Chase me”!
Grace´s last blog post ..It’s the teeniest bit comforting to know
Ha! She wants me to kick the ball so she can let it float on down the creek. Lazy thing.
Well Lucy has a great spot there. Looks like a fun place to hang out. Gotta love a dog friendly park.

Yeah, this is a pretty nice place. The dog area isn’t enclosed, but the water and other dogs usually keep Lucy’s mind off of other critters. Nice place for me, too, in this awful weather…I wade around while she plays!
This looks like a great place for Lucy. Daisy would love it, too.
Janie of Utah´s last blog post ..Fresh as a Daisy
Hi Janie, and yeah, Daisy would love it. On this day Lucy played a while with a black lab. He could’ve taught her a few things about retrieving the tennis ball that she’d let float down the creek!
How did I miss this post?!
YogaforCynics´s last blog post ..That last post was pretty good- I think
‘Tis okay, drjay. Lucy understands and is glad you found her. She’s arfing, “Come on in, the water’s fine!”
