Hmmm…such a lovely flower and I have “the poisoned rose” by Elvis Costello going through my head…clearly says something about my mood…

Hi drjay and thanks. Though kinda purty, “poisoned rose” is fitting, I think. Am not crazy about this pic…too Pepto Bismol for my liking, and I’ve put off posting it. Don’t know ’bout you, but the recent rains and encroaching heat and humidity haven’t helped my mood any…not to mention my slow and problematic writing. Ugh.

In English, ‘rose’ can be a synonym for pink colour, isn’t it? In Catalan, the words ‘pink’ and ‘rose’ are the same: rosa. So a pink rose for me is a rosa rosa. Kind of asserting :) I lovelove this one!
