Poor Lucy. She’s probably wondering what’s up with stopping off at the store on the way home from her walk and creek swim, when everyone knows she gets fussy if she’s not carted straight home for her nap. She knows every turn to and from her walking places, and if the truck goes off-course, she throws a fit, usually in the form of constant whining. This afternoon she was too tired to whine and could only muster a few pawings at me as we waited for W. I know that look. She’s ready to drop any second.

My dog Maddie tried to keep up with me as I moved around the house today and tonight she is Sooooo tired. She knows just how Lucy feels!
