Next to the tennis ball, Lucy loves snirt best. After retrieving the ball, she runs to the top of the snow+dirt pile, plops down and gives it some love ‘n’ affection. Crazy dog.

Sooooo adorable…
(a bit disgusting, too, since who knows what she’s licking up there, but mostly adorable…)
YogaforCynics´s last blog post ..Got My Mind On My Monkeys And My Monkeys On My Mind (El Yogi Cynico en Costa Rica Parte Cuatro)
Lucy thanks ya for the compliment, drjay. And we’re talkin’ here about a doggie who partakes of goose droppings whenever she gets the chance, so yes, “disgusting” is pretty accurate. *gag*
When I was a kid, I LOVED eating sn*w…the fresh stuff only, though. *L*
Lana, my mom used to pour vanilla in it and mix it up…kinda like a cheapo ice cream. I agree, the fresh stuff only!
ROFL I wondered what snirt was. That Lucy is too precious
ann´s last blog post ..A little of my history
Thanks, ann. Lucy is such a case…always into something. But you know exactly what I’m talking about, right? I bet there are a lot of Duke-and-snow stories!

Yes, Lucy, it IS a giant snocone with your name on it! Oh happy day!
Junk Drawer Kathy´s last blog post ..Unintended Electroshock Therapy
Haaa…that’s exactly it, Kathy. A giant snocone! She loves to roll in it, but with the rising temps there are fewer and fewer patches of snow. I don’t know how we’re going to break it to her… :o(
She looks SO happy!
Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Hi Bossy Betty. Oh, she is happy. As soon as she starts to tire from playing, she immediately runs for a patch of snow and plops down. Crazy and lazy!
OK, I had never heard of snirt, though I recognized it when I saw the picture. I’m sure Nora would love it, too, but she has to settle for the random cat poop she finds on walks. She doesn’t look as in love with those things as Lucy appears to be with snirt.
Jennifer´s last blog post ..Sweater dress logic
I think I picked up snirt off of FB somewhere…and at this point we’re surrounded by it. Actually, this is some of the nicer snirt. A lot of it is completely black—off limits to the crazy one. I think Lucy would consider cat poop in a pinch…goose poop seems to be her favorite. Ugh.

She looks so sweet but as you say they like the craziest of things! :D
Chrissy´s last blog post ..Food for the Soul
Thanks, Chrissy. Yes, she is just as sweet as she is crazy…or disgusting!
I will never understand dogs passion for all things gross LOL
Grace´s last blog post ..Ennui is me
Ha! I know what you mean, Grace. The more disgusting, the better. Ugh.

I know a little bit about this too. My oldest guy, Jackie, has an odd taste for dirt. Regular garden variety dirt. He’ll take a nibble when he thinks I’m not looking. I’ll have to remind him: Jackie don’t eat the dirt and he’ll sulk away to another spot until my back is turned again… Dogs are SO funny!
Diane´s last blog post ..On home decorating
Hi Diane…and that is funny! Sometimes in the dog park all of the dogs will hone in on a certain spot and start eating the dirt there. With their amazing olfactory capabilities it’s hard to tell what attracts them.

That is so funny, it reminds me of my neighbor who is an avid skier. I can just picture him licking the last of the snow hills now that everything is melting.

Hi Steve, and thanks for stopping by. Ha! Now that’s what I call real ski love!
Ewwwww. Is there nothing dogs won’t eat???
Hi Lin. Heeeee…I don’t think so. Maybe broccoli?

Oh this is hilarious! I like to think she’s making those weird growly noises that dogs do when excited :)
Bird´s last blog post ..Birthday Girl
Actually, Bird, she was very calm during this, but I know what you mean. When she’s in excited play mode, she’ll growl and bite at the floor…or us…whatever is in her path!
