Once Lucy starts hitting the ground during a walk, it’s a sure sign that she’s winding down. Here she is at the Shirlington dog park that runs alongside the Four Mile Run creek in Arlington, Virginia, and is right across the road from the upscale Shirlington Village. The other side of the park is lined with old warehouses. I hope to write more about Shirlington at a later time, as there is some history there for me.

Oh that doggie picture is wonderful! You can see the joy and movement!
Thanks, Bossy Betty. Some good lighting helped…finally, the sun and blue sky! Yes, she is quite joyful.
Such a great pic of Lucy! How did you ever get such a great shot?
Grace´s last blog post ..Can you stand any more examples of Filthadelphia incompetence?
Thanks, Grace. At this point Lucy is so tired out that she’s almost still. It takes many shots to get one of her not in a blur!
Read your recent post…what the hell were they thinking???

DK Miller´s last blog post ..Naperville River Walk
Thanks, DK, and Lucy thanks you for the compliment. This is the best time to catch a pic of her…when she’s worn out!

Great picture of Lucy, you can see clearly that she’s having fun and enjoying the park.
Thanks, NiceArtLife. The park is her favorite place, although like most dogs, she has fun anywhere.
That Lucy sure knows how to have fun and then chill out when she’s done.
ann´s last blog post ..I feel so disconnected
Hi ann. Oh my gosh, does she! Funnin’ and chillin’ is a fine art to her.
She looks like a happy dog. We knew some people who lived in Shirlington — I look forward to reading more.
Jennifer´s last blog post ..Never tasted so sweet
Hi Jennifer. Yeah, she is a happy girl. I love the Shirlington area, although I haven’t lived there since the 80s…it’s close by, so we’re often in and out, usually with a Lucy walk in mind. There are some pretty good restaurants there, too.

Awww your puppy is so sweet! And TIRED! I lived in Vienna from 7th through 10th grades when Dad was at the Pentagon. Beautiful places all around there. You guys still have snow! WOW!
Katherine´s last blog post ..Invisilifts: A Woman’s Only Hope For Perkiness
Hi Katherine and thanks for stopping by. Wow, Vienna is a great place—we would sometimes park there and hop on the W&OD trail with our bikes.
Oh yeah, plenty of snow still, although our temps are in the 40s now and a slow melt is happening. Can’t wait until it’s outta here!
You are officially obsessed with you dog. :) And that’s okay. :)
