A frozen, snow-covered lake in a nearby neighborhood and one of Lucy’s favorite haunts.
Go to SkyWatch Friday and find skies from all over the world. While you’re there, why not leave a link to your own skies so all can enjoy? Many thanks to Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy, Louise and Sylvia for hosting this most ethereal meme!

This site was so cool! Thanks!
Yeah, SkyWatch is a neat site…lots of great photos from all over the world. Hope you join up. :o)
Sweet! I love all the little animal prints (I think) in the snow. It might not be for you, but these kind of photos are a real treat for me as I don’t live anywhere near snow and have to drive hours to get to it (usually for skiing).
Svasti´s last blog post ..Involuntary actions – part 4
Oh my gosh, we have so much snow and it’s so beautiful the first few days. But all the snow alongside the roads is now black, and there are still mountains of it where streets and parking lots were cleared. So now it’s just tiresome. Want me to send you some? :o)
I love the contrast between the puffy clouds, and the flat snow!

Thanks, Judy, I’m glad you like it. Happy SWF!
Great job photoing the lake. I love the lakes all frozen up. I haven’t been able to get to mine for a couple of years and really miss it.
Carol´s last blog post ..Black Creek
Hi and thanks, Carol. Frozen lakes are nice. And you have a lake nearby? This one belongs to a private community, so we really can’t use it in the summer, but we do walk Lucy there.
Great snow cover and cloud cover.

Thanks, J Bar, glad you like it. Happy SWF!
Like most things, reminds me of a Dylan lyric…
Twilight on the frozen lake, north wind about to break
on footprints in the snow, silence down below…

Nice song, drjay. I hadn’t heard it before. It does pair nicely with this pic.
And you’re a storehouse of musical info, which I find amazing. I really enjoy hunting these songs and taking a listen.

Happy Friday and happy weekend!
Hilda´s last blog post ..Big cloud, small sailboat
Hi Hilda and thanks for stopping by. Yes, it is amazing…especially those waterfalls. Takes a lot of cold weather to do that! A good weekend to you, too!

The sky is so lovely and the snow looks so clean and good… beautiful! Of course, reading your reply to Svasti makes me realise that the snow has outstayed it’s welcome :)
Bird´s last blog post ..Sunset and Moonrise
Thank you, Bird. Yeah, this lake almost looks untouched and definitely looks clean. This is how I’d like to remember the “big snow.” Those who shoveled it (W) may remember it differently… :o|
so nice to see blue skies, we actually have one here today too. Sure does lift the spirits.
ann´s last blog post ..I feel so disconnected
I agree, ann. This week the temps are supposed to be in the 40′s so maybe we’ll get some of this snow outta here. Let the flooding begin! Argh.
Awwww I love snow! And by I love snow I only mean on its first days out like in your picture. Then it just turned to gross grey slush. But right after it first falls, it is sooooo beautiful. Magical really.
Kelly´s last blog post ..Top 5 Posing and Directing Photography Tips
I agree, Kelly. Now our snow is in huge grimy mountains, which line the streets and parking lots. A real contrast from the first fall. Thanks for stopping by!
