What a gorgeous pic right now. …..well especially for those of us experiencing winter. Fantastic shot, fantastic colour :) Chrissy´s last blog post ..Squirrel Fights Back with Snowballs
Thanks, Chrissy, and my thought exactly—something bright for these wintry days. I’m ready for spring!

Thanks, drjay. Yeah, same weather here…a “pewie” day, as my grandmother would say. At least we’re outta the deep freeze…I think.
Hey Holly! Hope you don’t mind if I give my interpretation of this picture.
When I look at the center, where the bulk of the flowers are located, I see four distinct colors (red, yellow, purple, and orange). Yellow shines with optimism, enlightenment, and happiness. Orange radiates warmth and energy. Red is inherently exciting. Purple is a color often well liked by very creative or eccentric types. Since a blog reflects the personality of the owner and we can say that the same is true for each article that the owner posts, then I suppose you are a kind of optimistic, warm, exciting, and creative person. Therefore, I think you’re cool. I mean, warm. No, I mean cool. Argghhh…
Hi Ryhen…of course…your interpretation of what’s going on here is welcome anytime. And thank you for the kind words…wow!
However, I am only sometimes optimistic, occasionally warm, not very exciting and less creative. Lucy fits the bill, though, and she pretty much runs things around here anyway, so I’ll pass it on. But, really, those were very nice sentiments and I appreciate them. Peace to you, also… :o)
I agree with the others. This beautiful, bright bouquet is a wonderful antidote for the dreary, gray day I’m staring at this moment outside my window. nothingprofound´s last blog post ..
I don’t know where you’re at, but it’s the same here. Rain most of yesterday and very gray this morning. I see some blue sky now but hear that a possible icy mix is on its way. Argh. Glad you liked the posies.
The perfect photo to brighten our stormy and Winter day here. Such vibrant and beautiful colors. I love them. Joanne Olivieri´s last blog post ..Expectation Stew Simmers
Thanks so much…and you’re having wintry weather in CA? I am so sorry…that ain’t supposed to happen. If you wanted crappy weather you’d be livin’ here, right? :o( Glad you like the pic!
You had a beautiful idea, Holly, it’s such an awesome photo for a rainy day. I’ll take those colors with me all week — it’s sooo grey here. :) Fullet´s last blog post ..January Reads: Jakob von Gunten
Thank you so much. I took this a few years ago at a local farmers market. It’s been a little gray here, too, so I thought I’d put up something a little more “up.” I see a little bit o’ blue sky, though…
It’s been raining sideways here (and will be doing that for the next few days, though at the moment the sky is dry). It’s the NoCal version of winter — and this is a nice way to brighten things up.
I am envious of Ryhen’s photo interpretation skills! Jennifer´s last blog post ..The bottom of the sea
Hi Jennifer. I don’t think I’d mind a rainy winter over what we get here, but then you never know until you’ve tried it. As you know, it would be easy to miss the fall leaves and snow here, but for how long. Which reminds me, do you think you’ll be moving back this way—and, would you still like to?
Yes, Ryhen’s amazing, isn’t he? He might want to think about charging a fee for that service. :o)

So many colorful flowers to brighten up a winter day! Was that from the farmer’s market?

Hi AVCr8teur and yes, this was taken two summers ago at a local farmers market. I was tired of posting snow and trees with no leaves!

Hi and thanks, Diane,
It sounds like most everyone here is experiencing the same lousy weather. May we all have more spring-like weather soon!
