You Gonna Throw That...

lucywaitingfortheball

…or stand there dawdling, seriously cutting into my squirrel time? Ears back, eyes fixed on the ball, Lucy listens for critter activity in the woods while waiting for me to get my act together. Yes, Lucy is quite the multitasker.

  • Lucy has pristine teeth (yes, after the cute expression and pleading eyes, this is what I noticed). This makes me think we should be brushing Nora’s teeth more frequently. But they do share a love of squirrels …

  • Hi Kathy. I know…what kind of mother am I anyway? Poor thing. In my defense, though, we had just finished a looong tennis ball session in a huuuge open field!

Lucy thanks you, Diane. Wanna come take the next shift? :o)

Hi drjay. Are you kidding? Me? Head slacker? Truthfully, I was too busy to blog. On the way back to the car she likes us to toss the ball…so she can ignore it. So it’s a constant throw the ball, pick it up, throw the ball, pick it up… She has us trained nicely.

Hi Jennifer and Lucy thanks you for noticing her pearlies, HOWEVER, if one were to look closely at her gum line, one would say “EEEWWW.” We have yet to brush her teeth, and I’m hoping it’s not too late and she doesn’t need that awful scaling done. Again, a bad mom…

Thanks, ann, and Lucy thanks you, too. She loves the compliments, like Duke, I’m guessing!

Hi, John, and thanks…Lucy thanks you, too. Don’t worry, she doesn’t let us keep her waiting for long!

  • Confession: by saying we should brush Nora’s teeth more often, I really mean — we should brush Nora’s teeth. It hasn’t happened yet, and she’s in the neighborhood of eight years old now. I can barely remember to brush my own teeth. But Lucy’s still look good from here.

(And I loved the comparison of my avatar with the Mona Lisa. Makes me think I should just use the real thing! :) )

    • Hi again Jennifer,

Heh-heh…your fessing up reminds me of myself…I, too, would have clarified, though there was no need, really. I know whatcha mean. :o):o)

Lucy will be 3 next month and I’ve been meaning to brush her teeth since she got her permanent ones, but just never got around to it. I never remember to get the toothbrush and beef-flavored paste while in PetSmart. How could I possibly forget beef-flavored toothpaste??? And, sadly, I know what you mean about remembering to brush your own (which reminds me, in your latest post I liked the “mossy teeth” better than my own “sweaters”).

I’m glad you liked W’s handiwork and I passed your comment along. It was very unusual for him to do that, but he said Mona Lisa was the first thing he thought of when he saw your avatar…couldn’t believe the likeness.
