Bright Spot In The Snow

Lucy has been a bright spot in more places than just the snow lately. As anyone who has a doggie, or is around doggies, knows, they take you to a whole other place, whether you need it or not.

These were taken a few days ago when it was still a winter wonderland around here. Thanks to a good 12 hours of rain, the snow is just about gone, but thank goodness that the bright spot remains.

  • When I was three my older brother graced the family with a lovely fox terrier. That dog lived 16 years and we grew up together. I’m not exaggerating when I say that dog filled every one of those years with boundless joy.

  • Dogs are bright spots in the world…furry glowing beings of pure love, to be sure…

    Great pics…

  • Hi nothingprofound. Sixteen years…that’s great. It must’ve been very heartbreaking for you and your family when your pup passed on. It just doesn’t seem fair that they don’t live as long as we do.

They sure are, drjay, and thanks. Actually, all credit for a good Lucy pic goes to…Lucy! Like I said before, she’s the most photogenic in the family.

Is there anything more fun than watching a dog play in the snow? Methinks not.

A dog to me seems like a little angel from heaven. They have the most incredible ability to know when all you need is someone to sit next to you and be there.

  • Hi Todd, and thanks for stopping to comment. I agree. The fun goes on until Lucy wears out!

Hi ann. Yes they do. They can be very intuitive, more so than humans I think. They are definitely, as drjay says, “furry glowing beings of pure love.”

  • Snow speckled doggies are pretty awesome. Then, I like all animals in general. But you can’t take cats to the local cafe or down the park (mostly). Just spent some time observing some lovely doggies at a cafe in Bondi. One was so mini that drinking water from the doggie water bowl made his entire body shake. The others just looked very pleased with themselves and all the pats they were gettin from the cafe’s patrons. They simply don’t have our worries and concerns, do they? For that and the love they offer, I adore them all!

  • Hi Svasti. Yeah, aren’t they the best? We have a few places around here where you can take your pup, though we’ve never gone to one. Ya know, someone should really come up with a “kitty cafe,” don’t you think? Kitties like a night out, too! :o)

Have a Happy New Year, Svasti!
