This was taken on the day Lucy and I left for our recent trip to eastern Kentucky and is in the vicinity of Woodstock, Virginia, off I-81, 90 miles outside Washington, D.C.

That’s a beautiful part of the country. Where did you go in Eastern Ky?? It is lovely there and we go there a LOT.
Lucy at Woodstock?
I thought I saw a puppy dog, walkin’ along the road,
so I asked her where she was goin’ and this she told me
I’m goin’ down to the doggie farm, gonna chase after some sticks…
…so, apparently, I’m not feeling too inspired at the moment…
Cool, kinda eerie photo…

Hi Lin. I visit Ashland and the itty bitty town of Louisa. How ’bout you?

I was groovin’ there, drjay, until “gonna chase after some sticks.” But that’s okay…I’m afraid you may have tuckered yerself out on the “Box of Rain” thing. Glad ya like the photo—there were a lot of these kinds of skies on the trip.

Hi Charity. No, I wasn’t particularly sad when I took it…more so when I posted it.

Almost a gloomy looking photo … the tree looks scary!

Even though it’s not a sunny sky I think it’s absolutely beautiful.

Hi Brandy and thanks for stopping by. I agree, it is gloomy and the craggy tree is a little scary. Boo!

Hi ann and thanks. Yeah, I like these kinds of skies. I think they put ya in a thinking kinda mood, more so than the happier ones.
