Hi everyone. Sorry for skipping out with such late notice, but a family emergency has come up and I’ll be traveling to them thar hills to help out the folks. Before I leave I’ll try to schedule a few photos to post, so please stop by if you’d like. I’ll have no internet access while away, so I’ll respond to any comments when I return.
Lucy will be accompanying me on the trip, so maybe we can fit in some Lucy-in-the-country pics for posting when we return.

Thanks so much, Svasti. My dad is in the hospital with pneumonia, which might not be so bad, except that he also has emphysema, which makes things touchier. They’re running tests just to make sure that nothing else is going on, and he says that he’s breathing a little better, so I think all will be okay.
As long as Lucy doesn’t insist on driving we should do fine. Of course, she would probably say the same about me!
You’ll be missed, of course. Here’s hoping all goes well with your dad (Lucy’d probably cheer be happy to cheer him up, but I doubt dogs are allowed in the hospital…).

Thanks much, Chrissy, for the wishes. Except for the emphysema, he is otherwise pretty healthy, so I think he can kick this pneumonia. Like drjay said, Lucy might help!

Hope everything turns out OK. A friend of mine had pnemonia and recovered back to full health.
I’m sure Lucy will enoy the change of scenery and new pastures to romp in.

Holly, I just read this post and feel like a dolt for being so out of the loop. I hope your dad is recovering well. My mum had emphysema so I know how scary it can be when any infection goes to the chest, but you make him sound like a real fighter so hopefully your dad is doing ok and so are you too.
