Sorry to see that Lady has passed on. She was a beauty. My Mischief is 19, and already I get sad knowing that he’s getting older and I can’t, unfortunately, have him forever.

This is a beautiful pic of a grand old lady (though I’m not sure it wasn’t taken in her younger days). What a distinctive blaze she has on her face. It’s so sad that they can’t live for ever.

Thanks, Janie. Although 26 isn’t exactly young, the suspicion is that she may have ingested wild cherry leaves or water contaminated by them. I’m sure, being a horse owner, that you know all about that. Sadly, this is also how Lady’s mom died years ago.

Hi and thanks, jakill. You’re right…this was taken about 8 or 9 years ago. I know, just like dogs and kitties, they never live long enough…the biggest heartbreak of caring for animals, I think.
