Sorry to see that Lady has passed on. She was a beauty. My Mischief is 19, and already I get sad knowing that he’s getting older and I can’t, unfortunately, have him forever. Janie of Utah´s last blog post ..Our Guide
This is a beautiful pic of a grand old lady (though I’m not sure it wasn’t taken in her younger days). What a distinctive blaze she has on her face. It’s so sad that they can’t live for ever. jakill´s last blog post ..My Loyal Droppers
Thanks, Jennifer. It’s nice to know that part of Lady lives on in her offspring who is now a show horse somewhere in KY and owned by a family friend.

Thanks, ann. Yes, she is a pretty girl.

Thanks, Janie. Although 26 isn’t exactly young, the suspicion is that she may have ingested wild cherry leaves or water contaminated by them. I’m sure, being a horse owner, that you know all about that. Sadly, this is also how Lady’s mom died years ago.

Hi and thanks, jakill. You’re right…this was taken about 8 or 9 years ago. I know, just like dogs and kitties, they never live long enough…the biggest heartbreak of caring for animals, I think.

Thanks, Victoria T. Yes, she was beautiful and she had that wonderful horse smell!
Poor Lady horse! Although really, she had a fantastically long life! And she’s very pretty and was obviously well-cared for. Svasti´s last blog post ..Michelle Renee’s story – Held Hostage
She is so beautiful, or should I said, she was a beautiful lady? Your wonderful photo of her will remain as in the present for me though.. Icy BC´s last blog post ..Our Pet, Albert

Thanks, lydia. Yes, she was very sweet…she liked to nuzzle…and that meant lots of good horsey smells.

Hi Lin and thanks. Yeah, my mom owned her mother, so had Lady from a birth. I just hope she didn’t suffer.
*****
Thanks, Svasti. Yes, I think 26 is not too terribly young, but I just hope she didn’t suffer from whatever took her.

Thanks much, Lana…*hugs* back to you…

Hi Charity. Yes, Lady did live up to her name…she was very graceful and gentle.

Hi Storm and thanks. Yes, they are incredible. Very loving and smart, too. Lady would always nudge my mom’s pockets looking for treats.

Hi and thanks, Nothing profound. Yes they are. I’m always amazed at how those graceful, slender legs can support their weight. And they are so graceful when they run in herds.
I’m sorry about Lady. She was a beautiful horse.
