Inside My Noggin

unhappysky

It’s amazing that I was able to capture a pic of exactly how it feels inside my head right now!

Dramatics aside—I detest drama, yet resort to it—I apologize for not posting in the past few days. It’s been hectic with the houseguests, and they’re staying a bit longer than expected, which has thrown me off. Totally. I shall return tomorrow (I’m almost certain…).

Lucy says “Hey!”

  • i can totally understand your feelings (with company and all).
the gloomy skies will soon depart and sunshine will prevail :)

  • Hey this is impressive. Again the contradiction of lightness and darkness is amazing and yeah I understand how this can sometimes reflect our oun emotions. Again, nature is a great!

  • Sky pics can be great for expressing how you feel! Whether its a sunset, sunrise or something in between. ‘Hey’ back to you and the Lucy-meister ;)

  • Hey – Luce – Holl – Nice sky. I’m sitting here under the same sky. . . 300 miles away and listening to ‘we can be together’ on your radio over there – ——–>.

I think that song and ‘third week in the chelsea’ are my favorites of theirs. Jorma’s guitar on ‘we can be together’ is incredible, very progressive and very raw at the same time.

    Thanks for the listen.

  • Your head, too?

I’m running away to the beach, where it may or may not be sunny. You and Lucy are welcome, too. Just drive to Cape Henlopen, take the ferry to Cape May and start yelling my name…

Rain rain go away, oh, and don’t bother coming back another day. You have my sympathy, I’ve been trying to banish some dark clouds myself.

  • Amazing photo, Holly. Manchester is a rainy place – and I really need to get out there when we have a storm to get a photo like that. My problem is I don’t like getting wet.

So what am I doing in Manchester then?

    D’UHH

    Cheers

  • Hi Erin and thanks for stopping by. The skies are still gloomy here, but some sunshine is prevailin’ in my head now…

Hi Hicham and thanks for stopping by. Yeah, there was lightness, wasn’t there? And yes, nature is great…one really big show…

Hi Svasti. Yeah, this was the most appropriate pic to express how I felt. I coulda put a photo of Lucy up there, but then that woulda meant I was all happy and stuff and I just wasn’t… Am now, though! Thank you for coming by…

Hi Koe and thanks…that’s funny…we always call Lucy ‘Luce’ and I’m ‘Holl’ to a few family members, on occasion. Anyway, as I write I’m also listening to JA. I find a lot of their stuff very calming…Lucy thinks so, too, as she’s lying here asleep, completely tired out by the guests. If Playlist ever puts up “Third Week in the Chelsea,” I’ll add it to my tunes. Glad you enjoyed it…besides you and drjay, I’m not sure if anyone else listens, but if it entertains you twooz, then it’s worth it.

Stopped by your place and saw those ‘needle’ posts…must come back and take my time and see what’s goin’ on there…looked very interesting.

  • Hi Angela and thanks for coming by. Thank you, I’m feeling much sunnier although there are impending storms out there. I just get like that sometimes… :o)

Hi drjay and yeah, my head, too. Ugh.

I hope you’re sitting in a parking lot somewhere if you’re reading this, cause that means you made it to the beach…good for you. Thanks…Lucy has never been to the ocean, although we’ve been meaning to take her. We’re with ya in spirit, though, and Lucy asks that you do a yoga pose for her if it’s on your agenda…maybe that downward facing dog one…

Hi Bird…my clouds are slowly dissipating and hope that yours are too. Hope all is okay. Want to get over to your place real soon as I know you’ve got some fabulous pics over there! :o)

Hi PM. I swear it’s rained here for almost a week. I know, only a week and what am I whining about, right? :o) Very damp, warm and humid. Ugh. I don’t blame you for not getting out to snap…your camera probably doesn’t wanna get wet either!

  • beautiful dramatic sky, hope your day will be brighter and clearer.

  • Holly – oh – I am so glad I got your nicknames right. . . Thanks for looking at the threadless needles. I wrote a poem and wanted to take it apart. . . So I have been doing so every day. I think most readers are finding it kind of tedious. It’s been ok for me because I usually write just to have people interact and see what they say to each other. I use anything I write as ‘spare parts’ for something I might write later. As in the person I made say. . . ‘I can’t spoon-feed your day-dreams you you Andrew,’ a few weeks ago. She’ll be back. Right now she’s getting cooked up in a story watching her father (often absent father) fade away. He’s the one who says, ‘a clock is a lousy way to keep track of time.’

Thanks for all the reading and comments you’ve left on my blogs. . . you know I have 2 right?

  • Hi betchai and thanks. Glad you like the sky. And thanks again, I’m just not a very patient one… :o(

    Hi again, Koe.

I remember her—I was kinda hoping that Andrew had lost her in the crowds but am now happy to hear that she is being ‘recycled.’ I look forward to her next story!

No thanks necessary, Koe. Actually, thank you for your visits to ETH—Lucy and I look forward to them.

Two? You mean the blog where the guy posts these cool a-z poems and photos where all of the readers get involved? Nah, that couldn’t possibly be you…I mean, you’re KW-W and he’s DZ-K… ;o)

  • um – yes – well I was starting to feel guilty because dz-k never leaves comments. if there is one thing at which they both excel. . . it’s recognizing that they should feel guilty about some of the things that they. Not that they actually feel that guilt – they just know they should. Hope you have a good weekend – the sky is still grey. Six days straight now. maybe it clears today. I just saw that you’d named this photograph unhappy sky. . . I think you just gave me an idea for threadless needle #8 or #9.

koe whitton-williams´s last blog post..fourteen threadless needles #6

  • Hi Koe…I wouldn’t feel bad about the comment thing if I were you. Not everyone has the time to respond, and for others, it just might not be their style. And anyway, you do comment…or link to your commentors, which is a very nice thing.

Don’t know about up your way, but here it is sunny and much drier than has been the past few days. Very nice…

And I’m still readin’ those needle posts… :o)

  • Thats an excellent picture, I have been capturing some skies like that recently here in Florida. You have some excellent pictures on your site, I hope your head is feeling better.

  • Thanks, Extreme John, and thanks for stopping by. This was taken in eastern Kentucky where these huge thunderstorms pop up quickly and are then gone. I imagine that you’ve got some beautiful skies down there. And thanks, the head is okay for now!
