Beautiful!
The First Dandelion
Simple and fresh and fair from winter’s close emerging,
As if no artifice of fashion, business, politics, had ever been,
Forth from its sunny nook of shelter’d grass–innocent, golden, calm as the dawn,
The spring’s first dandelion shows its trustful face.

Pretty pictures!! I know its not quite the same thing, but I’m a huge fan of dandelion tea. Love the flowers too, but really enjoy the tea. Its made of the dandelion root, and its very earthy and slightly bitter. Fantasticly flavourful, too.

wow, these are great pictures of dandelions, I especially like the last one, the very up close shot of dandelion. Happy Spring and Happy Easter.

The colour and the image are surely incredible. I love the fact that the flower itself is rich yellow complimented by the use of pleasant green surrounding

Thank you TT. And thanks for reminding me of that beautiful poem—it’s been a long time since I’ve read “Leaves of Grass.”

Hi and thanks Svasti. Dandelion tea? Mmm, I’ve heard of it, but have never tried it. Now must try some on your recommendation! Thanks!

Thank you roentarre. I took so many of these just trying to get a decent one!
Wonderfully Yellow & I love it. Each image signifies a meaning that happens in our lives BUT i think I can only imagine IT.

Apparently, Keith Richards named his daughter Dandelion…which makes those lyrics very strange….
Great photos nonetheless…and now I’m gonna listen to that song…

Thank you Doson. That’s exactly what I meant to show…although my last shot is actually a close-up of another. My dying dandy pic was, well…dead (my fault!). :o(

Hi and thanks drjay. I didn’t know that…that Richards’ daughter was named Dandelion. You are truly a counter-culture storehouse!
