This window belongs to an old colonial that sits on the property of the Green Spring Gardens park in Fairfax County, Virginia. As I passed I noticed the setting sun and silhouette of the skyline.
A nurturer of native Virginia plants, this park is one of the most beautiful in Northern Virginia.

Thanks to Lana over at The Dreaming Tree for turning me on to SkyWatch Friday.

I love the way the narrow window focuses the view.

Thank you sharkbytes…yes, and I do love those windows, too…different!
Thanks, Judy. Yes, it’s something that can be easily missed, which I usually do! :o)
chrome3d, you like just about any sky, don’t you? Brooding skies, frosty mornings, etc…I think that’s great! Thank you! :o)
Hi Nona, thanks for coming by. Am on my way to your post!…

Hi Chrissy. Yeah, we were out walking the pup (actually W was walking, I was lagging behind, as usual) and there it was. Just happened to catch it at sunset…
Thanks Skies. Yes, sometimes I look elsewhere than up and get lucky!
Thanks, Lana. I just love this old house with its very cool windows.
Hey Holly. That’s really neat. You nailed it.

Is there someone peeping on that window? Really cool. Nice to watch the sky while you’re sitting near the window and daydreaming sometimes.

Wow…truly an amazing photo…not sure I’ve ever seen one quite like it….
And I see you’ve got the original Derek & the Dominos version of “Anyday” on the player…one of my favorite portraits of love at its most miserable…”anyday anyday I can see you smile, anyway anyway just for a little while”….

Thanks, drjay. I wish it were a little sharper, though. Could’ve been the light or more likely my photo skills or lack thereof. :o)
I kept checking Playlist and someone finally put up “Anyday.” Yay! If I’m not mistaken I think “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” was a product of Clapton’s pining-for-Pattie days. Right? I love his “wailing” voice in all of those love-sick songs.
Now I’m on a quest to find his “I Walked Away.”
Great photo!!
