I apologize for my poor video skills—keeping Lucy in frame while keeping track of the ball was a bit much to handle, but I think it suffices in showing Lucy’s spirit. You also get a good dose of my spirit as well—Lucy does that to you! This is how she is when she’s not resting nor waiting to be fed—a ball of energy full of fun and life!
Her fetching skills have improved alot since my last post, aided by treats and a little consistency on our part. She’ll still only chase a kicked ball, but that’s okay as that makes it even more fun for us. As you’ll see, my kicking skills aren’t all that Lucy would hope for. Hmmm, seems that I may need more training than Lucy…

Thanks, Lana. Oh, I bet your husky was a beautiful one. Lucy has a few husky friends at the dog park and they’re so pretty…and they love to run! They are so much fun. :o)
Thanks, drjay. I knew you’d be amazed…wasn’t that somethin? The way she lunges at her treats, ignores “SIT!” and out-barks my “NO BARKING!” Of course, it’s not the kids’ fault, it’s the parents…aaargh.

Oh, I LOVE how she’s enjoying chewing that ball, I can almost feel the chewyness of it myself! She is soooo eager to please, even if she doesn’t quite “get” what she’s supposed to be doing yet. I think Lucy and I have too much in common…

Oh, so you are a dog person as well as a cat person. Yay! (Actually, I could tell from all your kind comments on Lucy.)
Yes, you could have quite a mess if all didn’t get along. We have thought of getting another dog…there are so many that need homes and I think Lucy would love it. We would need to take in a new one on a “trial basis” though, just to make sure that the two would get along alright. I hate the thought of “returning” a needy animal, though…
