I like the simplicity of this. The weathered boards against the bright blue sky. The bit of sky showing through the window. The small piece of chimney peeking around the corner.
This is actually another angle of the same building that I posted back in November. It was taken at Simonson on Virginia’s Northern Neck.
Some blue sky for those who are tired of gray! :o)

Gorgeous blue & cool angle to the building. I like the weathered boards.
It’s been “lightyears” since I heard “Mr. Spaceman”. ..:D
Oh wow, this is a beautiful photo, did you make it?

Hi GeL. Glad you liked the music…I just love The Byrds! :o)
Hi CuteBoo. Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I took this.
Hey! Where’d that comment I left earlier go??!! It was a good one…though perhaps you censored it for that part where I called for terrorist acts against…oh never mind….
Seriously, I think I said how much I like that photo, & how I’ve always had a thing for decaying structures…from Anasazi dwellings to Greek temples to crumbling American farmhouses…must have something to do with the earth gradually reclaiming whatever structures we build…as it will one day reclaim us as well…and I may have also mentioned just how much I enjoy this mellow corner of the world wide web, with its lovely, peaceful images, jangly folk-rock, and, of course, the adorable and talented doggie….okay, I think that was just about everything…but it was still waaay better the first time…though, actually, I was multitasking so probably just closed the window without hitting “submit comment”…so yer off the hook this time, Holly….

Hi drjay…
Don’t you just hate that? You go through all the trouble of crafting the darn thing then it goes to the big comment page in the sky. Maybe you fat-fingered your keyboard?
Glad you liked the pic. You know, I don’t think I ever thought about that aspect…the earth reclaiming what we’ve built and all, but I do think about those who lived in them long ago. I remember visiting one of the parks in Arizona, Walnut Canyon, I believe, and inside the cliff dwellings you could see and touch the fingerprints of the indians who formed them thousands of years ago…very cool.
Earthtoholly is happy to serve as a place of respite…you are always welcome, drjay! And Lucy thanks you for the compliments and is thinking, “Adorable and talented, moi?” which is amazing as I didn’t know she knew French… :o)
