SkyWatch Friday No. 22

Just an hour earlier, the sky was a deep blue and the moon was huge and golden, hanging low over the horizon, however, it sat in the east and I was traveling west, by car. I thought about turning around and pulling over to get a shot, but I was pressed for time as it was getting dark and I needed to get Lucy to the dog park. On the way home I spotted the moon again, yet this time it was high in the black sky—it was so bright I don’t even think I could see the “man in the moon.” This time I pulled over and snapped. Not a very good shot, but I do like the light reflected off of the clouds and the barely visible tree line.
