Lucy’s friend, Nellie

This is Lucy’s friend and dancing partner, Nellie. A regular at the Mason District dog park, Nellie is a rescue from a collie rescue organization (yay!) and when not cavorting with Lucy, she keeps the other park participants herded.

Nells is a beautiful, sweet dog…but then, what dog isn’t?

  • Hi there, How are things? and how is the little pup’s tummy? hope she enjoyed her treats from Holland.
Lovely picture of Nellie, bet you she is eyeing off Lucy’s treats! lol
ohh yes thanks for the award.
    Chow for now…

  • Shy, so good to hear from you! I saw you were having some troubles and hope that all is better for you now…

Lucy’s stomach is still iffy…okay for 3-4 days then another bout…we’re starting to think that it’s just the result of picking up who-knows-what out in the backyard. Anyways, we’re going to try the Netherlands treats today…I can tell you now she’s going to love them! Take care… :o)

  • She is LOVELY! Looks very serene and elegant… poised. I love her. I bet she is very intelligent. The way you describe her and her actions at the park is very poignant. It makes me feel so sad for all the animals that are lost or harmed when they are so sensitive and often know more than we do.

Thank you for touching my heart,
    Robin

  • Hi Robin…yes, it is heartbreaking to hear some of the stories from the dog owners in the park. A lot of the dogs were found as strays or were living in horrible conditions. And every one of them is so sweet and loving. They just storm us sometimes when we enter the park.

Nellie does look elegant, doesn’t she? And she’s the sweetest, friendliest dog. She’s one of the lucky ones as she has a loving family now. :o)
