I try my best to not waste my reader’s time but sometimes it can’t be helped. Today is Saturday so most of you will be out playing and enjoying the weather; if you’ve decided to sit home and read silly posts then you deserve this one!
A few weeks ago I baked butter cookies for a cousin’s wedding and when I had finished cutting all the dough I was left with a handful of scraps. So I placed the rolled ends on a pan and baked them off with Lucy in mind. She’s not picky.
And this is what I got…
Is it just me or do I have a weasel here? Or maybe an anteater? A cross between the two, I think.
Anyway, my first thought was eBay. Don’t eBayers pay big money for celebrity-shaped potato chips and Jesus stuff on toast and cheese sandwiches? Could someone out there in eBay Land possibly worship weasels and covet my cookie for their collection?
I came to my senses and decided “no” and gave it to Lucy. Of course, I told her it was a squirrel.
If you’re an interior designer who is reading this, yes, that is the real color of my kitchen counters. Eat your heart out.

Next time shape the scraps into a Jesus or Mary image. THEN eBay. ;) *L*
(Kind of reminds me of one of our nutria.)
ROTFL! Yeah, why didn’t I think of that?? I admit, I had to look up the nutria (I have never heard of one) and yep, the mutant cookie looks just like one!
We’ll post links to sites that have Wednesday (plus or minus a few days) submissions of their chosen animal artwork. “Art is not a mirror held up to reality, but a hammer with which to shape it.”—Bertolt Brecht
