What a lovely photo. We also have great blue herons fishing for tadpoles and frogs in our pond but I’ve never got a great shot like this one of them.
Thanks timethief. This is a park in a heavily populated area and I think the poor creature is just so used to humans encroaching he doesn’t scare as easily as he should. My thanks to him for letting me snap!
